Prayer times in Singapore through the year
Singapore lies at 1.4° north. In winter Fajr comes as late as 05:59, and in summer as early as 05:27. Isha comes at the earliest at 20:02 and at the latest at 20:33.
The times are worked out for the town centre (1.4° N, 103.8° E) in Singapore time (UTC+8, no summer time). A few kilometres away they change by less than a minute. They are calculated and can differ by a minute or two from your mosque’s calendar. When in doubt, your mosque’s calendar applies.

How prayer times are worked out in Singapore
The five prayers are tied to the sun. Fajr begins at dawn, when the first light appears above the horizon, and lasts until sunrise. Dhuhr begins just after the sun has passed its highest point. Asr begins when the shadows have grown long. Maghrib begins at sunset, and Isha when the last light has gone from the sky. Dawn and dusk are measured by how many degrees the sun is below the horizon.
By default this page follows the prayer timetable of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS). Fajr (Subuh) begins when the sun is 20° below the horizon and Isha (Isyak) at 18°, with a minute or two of caution.
Under “Calculation” you can compare it with the Muslim World League (MWL), 18° for Fajr and 17° for Isha, which many international apps use. Across the Causeway, Malaysia’s JAKIM timetable puts Subuh several minutes later: see prayer times in Johor Bahru. This is the difference in Singapore today:
| Method | Fajr | Maghrib | Isha |
|---|---|---|---|
| MUIS (default) | 05:29 | 18:52 | 20:02 |
| Muslim World League (18° / 17°) | 05:37 | 18:52 | 19:57 |
To be honest about it: these times are calculated, not copied from the MUIS timetable. Checked against MUIS’s official 2026 table for every day of the year, every time is within a minute. The official times are on muis.gov.sg. If your mosque shows other times, follow them.
For Asr you can choose the standard time (Shafi‘i, Maliki and Hanbali schools) or the later Hanafi time. What matters most is that you pray, and that you pray with the people around you.
