What it is and when you say it
Al-Ma'un, "Small kindnesses", is surah 107. It ties faith to how you treat people: the one who denies the Judgement pushes the orphan away and does not care for the poor, and some who pray are careless about their prayer and only want to be seen.
Seven short verses, a good reminder every time you recite it.

How to learn it by heart
- Read the whole text once with its meaning, so you know what you are saying.
- Learn one line at a time. Say it out loud until it flows, then add the next line.
- Hide the words little by little: first letters, then nothing. Tap a line when you need a look.
- Use it in your prayers right away. Repeating it five times a day is what makes it stay.
Common questions
What is "al-ma'un"?
Small everyday help, such as lending a pot, a tool or salt to a neighbour. The surah blames those who hold back even that.
Does "woe to those who pray" mean prayer is bad?
No. The next verses explain: it is about those who are careless about their prayer and pray only to be seen. Praying sincerely is the opposite.
